Jim Wana brings discipline, energy, and a service-first mindset to the Wellington commercial property market. Personable and client-focused, he thrives in the one-on-one, working closely with vendors, buyers, landlords, and tenants to create clarity and deliver meaningful value.
Although based in Wellington, Jim’s track record extends across New Zealand. His experience covers CBD office and character property sales, as well as large format and strip retail leasing throughout Greater Wellington and other key regional centres. This nationwide exposure gives him a versatile skill set and a strong understanding of retail dynamics across the country.
Fast-paced, competitive, and optimistic, Jim has a proven ability to identify opportunities and convert momentum into results. A former elite New Zealand softball representative, he earned Junior World Series gold (1985) and Men’s World Series gold (2004) - where he was the winning pitcher in the final - and later coached the Black Sox pitching squad to further international success. He was inducted into the ISC World Hall of Fame in 2019.
A natural self-starter, Jim previously developed and operated five Subway franchises in Wellington and Whakatāne before shifting full-time into commercial real estate nearly 20 years ago, where he continues to build an impressive national track record
